When you start read the book, it's about a girl, Mel, and her boyfriend Ben. Mel are with her best friend, Lisa. They talk about Ben, Mel is really in love with him. But she thinks that she is not good enough to him. But they are still in a relationship, so Lisa help her see that Ben and Mel see it on the same way. That hi also think hi not are enough to her.

On the Friday they will go on a party hi is invited to. But Mel, can't, because her old friend going to celebrate his birthday.

Later on the Friday, she got a text from someone. She don't know who it is, but it says: 

-hey, dog-girlfriend - maybe u shuda cum 2 da party did B!

She doesn't want to say anything to Ben, but she got more and more text from the number. A few week's go and Mel pretend like noting has happened when she is with Ben, but she can't stop think about it.
But at least, she decides to say it to him...
